Controversy

Model-turned actress Poonam Pandey is once again in the midst of a new controversy as the posters from her debut Bollywood movie Nasha has angered the people of Mahim area in Mumbai. A group of protestors tore the intimate posters and set them on fire on 20 July 2013. The general secretary of Shiv Sena Chitrapat has objected to Poonam Pandey's skin show in her upcoming film, "Nasha" by saying,"We find the poster highly vulgar and derogatory and won't allow such hoardings. It is also alleged that the poster of the movie featuring Poonam hiding her assets behind covers was copied from Veena Malik starrer, Supermodel.

The film is based on the real-life daring heist dated 19-Mar-1987 where an unknown man posing as CBI officer Mon Singh recruited 26 men and executed a daylight raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs. Special Chabbis is set to release on February 8, 2013.
